This has to be the heaviest prog album that I have heard from the Hungarian Periferic label. To be honest, it is prog metal that moves more into the rock area than it does into the prog arena. There are prog touches, but for the most part this is about heavy guitars and a sense of adventure. All of the lyrics are in English and there is no indication that it is not their native tongue. It is the most Western sounding releases that StereoPeriferic have released. On some songs they even come across like Alien Ant Farm! Fave tracks are 7 & 8, which segue into each other (the first is “_dust_in…” while the second is “_…hoffman”) which really show that being in a prog band is about exploring different musical areas and putting them together, as well as having fun. It is a very immediate, forceful, album that should get them many friends in Europe. The label describes it as “psychedelic, heavy, alternative and sentimental at the same time”; while I would just say that this is definitely one to seek out.
