This Hungarian project starts with a song in the vein of “The end” from The Doors, the Eastern sounding guitar and sitar also evokes the exotic part of The Ozric Tentacles. The other four tracks are build upon catchy and hypnotizing rhythms (lots of percussion) with many samples and different instruments (from electric guitar, organ and trumpet to sitar and didgeridoo). The music from Korai Örom is hard to compare and it’s far from the mainstream progrock. But it has something special, a warm, sultry and rather exotic climate. To me it sounds as a adventurous blend of modern, genuine progressive rock and trendy beats (with the use of the recent technique). It’s not really my cup of tea, but as a reviewer I have to be objective and in that way I do have respect and admiration for this very original music.
