Imagine our shocked faces when we took delivery of a beautifully crafted CD os Irish music from Hungary. Released on the Periferic Records label, the album is a hugely enjoyable traditional surprise, featuring Alan Burton on uillean pipes and Martin Green on piano boksz (theres vocals, fiddles, whistles, bodhráns and guitars also). It’s terrific stuff from Periferic, maybe Fianna are the Shantalla of Eastern Europe?
