Each year Periferic record company releases a handful of collections whose tracks are selected from the albums thatthe bands they sponsor recorded in the previous year. They use these collectons to introduce both their activites and top Hungarian musicians to foreign audiences-most recently at the MIDEM Festival in Cannes. One of the colletctons is traditionally devoted to alternative, rock and blues of the highest qality; the songs on this album exemplify how borders of these categories can be transgessed and how creativity in our age mostly flourishes along borderlines. Almost all of the bands on the album Have been mentioned on these pages (You and I, Colorstar, Kada, Mini, Korai Öröm, After Crying, Tóth Bagi Band), the ones that have not (D sound, afte@all, Mindflowers) will very soon be because their qualities undoubtedly show that they trily deserve it.
