An epic, a monumental piece of work, a concept that deserves praise. Had this symphonic poem, or even rock-cantata, been staged in Great Britain some 30 years ago, Cervinskis would have become a cult person second to Lloyd Weber. Though, if you’re not an art-rock fanatic, you may find this majestic project too difficult a thing to get your teeth into. Yet the music never fails to surprise due to the great variety of themes.
