This music is fun, kind of ‘progressive dance music’! In the genuine meaning of the word being progressive, Colorstar makes far more real progressive music than Pink Floyd, Yes or The Flower Kings at this moment! Most songs contain swinging rhythms with samples (made during their travels) and lots of instruments, from cymbalom guitar, Jew’s harp and sitar-guitar to violin, mouth organ and zyther-guitar. In general this music is very original, a bit hypnotizing. The last track Midnight take-off” features Fripp’s “Discipline”-guitar sound, but I’m not able to produce more similarities from known progrock bands. If you’re up to something special and adventurous, this CD is one to discover!
