A collaboration between Hungarian actress, Erika Marozsán, (her latest performance was in István Szabó’s recent film ’Relatives’), composer Gábor Juhász and lyricist Tamás Jónás (two names well-known in Hungarian music and literary circles), has created a distinctive and exciting new recording. The songs, permeated with jazz and chanson motifs, tell the story of the breakup of a relationship from the woman’s point of view. The woman in love who naturally is similar to Erika Marozsán in age and mentality - at times allowing herself a bit of brave hope; but the pain of seperation comes through in all the situations and songs, even the more playful and frivolous ones. The beautiful songs, with their open naturalness, fine music and strongly dramatic lyrics along with Erika Marozsán’s personality and performance make the album unforgetable.
