BGO have totally pulled the stops out for this collection. Pete himself has fully supervised all the remastering, written the sleevenotes, and has provided rare, never heard before demos and studio out-takes. This gives a total collection of the Piblokto canon of work, as well as providing a valuable insight into the creative processes involved in the recording. Pete is also known for his songwriting with Jack Bruce and as one of the original Beat Poets, working with Mike Horovitz in The New Departures and in his own breakaway group The First Real Poetry Band, which included guitarist John McLaughlin. He also took part in the famed Albert Hall poetry readings of 1965 and 1966 alongside William Borroughs, Allen Ginsberg, Laurence Ferlinghetti, Robert Graves etc. Pete toured Britain with Ginsberg and Robert Creeley. Pete wrote the lyrics for many of Cream’s major hits including Sunshine Of Your Life, White Room, I Feel Free and Politician. Many of these songs are now standards, and have become hits in recent years for other artists, as well as being featured in commercialsand films.
