Christmas album
Bojtorján is a Hungarian country band formed in 1977. Their popularity peaked in the early 1980s. They have visited the United States several times and played at Wembley Stadium in London. The band has been an honorary citizen of the state of Kansas since 1981. In 1984, they won a festival award in Nashville.
The band has contributed to several children's records as a songwriter and performer, and is a regular contributor to Judit Halász's records and concert tours.
The original Bojtorján membership consisted of the following musicians:
László Buchwart (acoustic and electric guitar, vocals)
Győző Kemény (acoustic guitar, violin, drum guitar, vocals)
Zoltán Pomázi (6 and 12-string acoustic guitar, autoharp, vocals)
Andor Vörös (pedal steel - guitar, synthesizer, piano, accordion, five-string banjo, vocals).
The latter two members wrote and orchestrated the vast majority of the songs.
The band's regular guest musicians were Gábor Sötét (bass guitar) and Zoltán Barna (Csibi) - drums.
