Come Hell or High Water is a 1994 concert album of Deep Purple's "classic" 2nd (MKII) lineup. The recordings were made at the concerts in Stuttgart on 16 October and 9 November in Birmingham. The band accepted Jon Lord’s proposal to call singer Ian Gillan back into the band, although R. Blackmore was only willing to accept the idea for a heavy sum. By the end of the concerts, it turned out that the two stars couldn’t fit in one inn, and Blackmore left the band.

Come Taste The Band is the tenth studio album by the English rock band Deep Purple, originally released in October 1975. It was co-produced and engineered by the band and longtime associate Martin Birch. It was the final Deep Purple studio record prior to the band's initial disbandment in 1976, therefore making it the only album to feature Tommy Bolin, who replaced Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, and the final of three albums to feature David Coverdale on lead vocals and Glenn Hughes on bass, as none of the three would be involved with the reactivated Deep Purple in 1984. It is also the only studio album to involve neither Blackmore nor vocalist Ian Gillan, as every prior and subsequent album features at least one of the two.

Deep Purple's third album, called Deep Purple, was released in November 1969. There was a serious problem for publishers with the use of Hieronymus Bosch’s painting The Garden of Earth Pleasures as a record cover owned by the Vatican. The album first appeared in June 1969 on the American label Tetragrammaton, but it went bankrupt when the record was released. It only appeared in England in November at Harvest Records. The album’s 2000 CD release also features five unreleased recordings.
The band’s work was highly valued by progressive music fans in the late 1960s - and rightly so. This album still holds a prominent place among prog-rock releases today, and is undoubtedly the best of the three albums starring Rod Evans and Nick Simper. Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore were in a serious 'fight' with each other, because Jon preferred the classic, symphonic rock sound, while Ritchie preferred the rawer, louder guitar-centric rock. On Deep Purple III. album we can enjoy both trends in action, as both musicians have had the opportunity to show their talent and establish that we listeners are the winners.

The album reached 54th place on the Billboard list in the USA, but didn't appear on the UK lists. There are five previously unreleased recordings on this 2000 CD release of the album.
