There is no more „waiting-time” for György Szabados' musical and spiritual legacy to reach a wider public. This recording succeeded in preserving his heritage in such a way that building on his compositions everybody in the group contributed one's own musical identity. It might seem an impossible task to play Szabados' music without him, but Grencsó' group managed to accomplished just that, so the music comes to life again with an elemental force as the poenix rises from the ashes.
The six tunes on this album is a testemony, that although Szabados' life's work is accomplished - it is by no means over.
"He has always reminded me of Béla Bartók: he was like a combination of Bartók and Theolonious Monk in that strange and beautiful kind of way”
