’I joined Hungarian progressive rock band Solaris as bassist in 1982. After its hugely successful jubilee concert in 2006 it appeared the band was not going to play any more concerts. As I wanted nothing more than to carry on playing this music I set up Tompox. At first we played Solaris song’s only, but as time went on we wrote more and more songs of our own and eventually this CD was put together. Besides progrock festivals we often play in smaller jazz and rock clubs. We aim to recreate the atmosphere that characterised the golden age of progressive rock bearing in mind that we are well into the 21th century. After 29 years, in the summer of 2011 I left Solaris for good. Members of Tompox share a love for playing progressive rock and playing concerts – which I guess is what really matters…’ Tamás Pócs
