Mónika Lakatos, Mazsi Rostás and Guszti Lakatos, the founding members of the Romengo Ensemble, all learned the music of the Olah-Gipsies of Nagyecsed alongside their mother tounge. They have always seen the nurturing and passing on of this tradition to be their mission. Misi Kovács, Csabi Novák, and their friend Mihály Dresch, the band's guest musician, brought with them their own music, so the songs of Romengo contain a few motifs from Hungarian folk music and jazz. This musical alloy, fashioned around the Olah-gipsy tradition, defines the unique profile of Romengo. It is in this spirit that they chose the title for their first album: Kétháné - Together
