This album gives overall image about musical life in Hungary in the genres of folk, ethno and word music – by fourteen perfofmers. Apart from Hungarian traditional music and folk songs, bands playing mainly South Salvic music (Vujisics, Söndörgő) can be also heard just like a unique recording – the well-known Christmas carol called „What child is this” sung by Mmárta Sebestyén. But let’s return to Hungarian miusic as it constitutes the CD’s great part. Listening to the different bands and singers you can discover how varied Hungarian tradicional music is. The other performers are Bokros Ensemble, Dongó, Bástya Zither Band, Dűvő, Vasmalom, Tünde Ivánovics, Cifra Ensemble, Szélkiáltó, Ultramarin, Kerekes Band and Hungarian Hurdy-Gurdy Orchestra who represents folk and world music.
