This album appears to be four years old, and was released to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the band, who were formed to reproduce traditional music and to expand on the originals by using their own knowledge and musical ability. I do like the cardboard cover which folds out and out in a low-tech version of a digipak that is quiet charming, it is also in a slip sleeve. The title is the English translation, and the whole of the album is sung in Hungarian.
But as the band has very powerful musical ideas the fact that I cannot understand the words is not too much of a problem. There are strong violin melodies and the female vocals are also good. The impression is that this is band that really comes alive when they can get the audience up and dancing and that the album was recorded pretty much live. An interesting release that folkers could do well to investigate further.
